Industry Overview

In addition to serving our nuclear power and industrial gas clients, MLEA Inc. professional staff are experienced working on a variety of industrial projects spanning a few weeks to over a year. Below is a list of some of our projects from the last few years.

Heat Exchanger Design

MLEA Inc. recently completed the design of several ASME/TEMA Lethal Service Heat Exchangers that will be used at the Savannah River Site Tritium Extraction Facility. The equipment, including Preheaters, Aftercoolers and Process Coolers were designed for heating and cooling of process gases in the 1200°F temperature range. Work included material selection, development of all code mechanical, structural, pressure drop, and thermal performance calculations and preparation of detailed shop fabrication drawings.

Waste Water Treatment

MLEA Inc. provided Total Environmental Solutions the permitting package, PENNVEST funding submittal and complete design package and construction support for the new 1.2 MGD West Side Waste Water Treatment Plant in Dubois, PA.

Design Support

MLEA Inc. teamed with Aalborg Industries to produce a 3D design model, along with detailed structural, piping and pipe support drawings for the construction of Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) in:

• Tunisia

Rodel, Inc utilized MLEA Inc. electrical, mechanical and structural engineering services for the design of a Semiconductor Grade polish mixing system. MLEA Inc. also provided a comprehensive fabrication and assembly package for a proprietary process system which included electrical, mechanical, structural, and I&C walkdowns.

Facilities Design

MLEA Inc. provided electrical, HVAC, and structural engineering services for the design of 12 new telecommunication buildings at the Department of Energy Savannah River Site for Verizon (Bell Atlantic) and AT&T.

D-Electric utilized MLEA Inc. engineering services to design a new 75,000 ft2 motor rewind facility and warehouse.
