Air Separation Plant Cold Box Design - May 19, 2008
MLEA Inc. was awarded the design of a cold box for an air separation plant producing LIN, LOX and
LAR.
Design Certification of US EPR Reactor - October 1, 2007
On September 9, 2007, a competitive cost plus fixed fee contract was awarded to Numark Associates
Inc. located in Washington DC, for the Areva Evolutionary Power Reactor (EPR) design center. Numark Associates is a small
business. The Contractor will provide expert technical assistance in a wide range of technical and scientific disciplines and
in accomplishing its work related activities aimed at ensuring the overall safety and adequacy of nuclear power plant design,
construction and operations. The contractor shall provide technical assistance in work related to the review of DC, ESP, COL,
pre-application activities and related support will be undertaken. The total estimated value of the contract is $29,205,885.
The period of performance is September 7, 2007-September 6, 2012. MLEA Inc. is the primary subcontractor to Numark.
MLEA Inc. Kicks Off Design of Ultra-High Purity Ammonia System - August 27, 2007
MLEA Inc. was awarded the design and fabrication of a second semiconductor grade ammonia system purification,
storage, filling and analysis system. This system will help meet the growing demand for ultra high purity ammonia in the LCD industry.
MLEA Inc. will design and fabricate the purification, storage, filling and analysis skids in the USA and then ship them to
the customer in January 2008. The previous system went on line in January 2003.
MLEA Inc. Designs 300 TPY Nitrogen Tri-Fluoride Plant - June 7, 2007
MLEA Inc. completed the mechanical, electrical and structural design for a 300 TPY NF3 plant in Asia. Design
elements included fluorine cells, fluorine purification, NF3 reactors, NF3 purification, NF3 storage and filling. The $30M plant is
expected to be in full production in by the end of the year.
MLEA Inc. Supports Hope Creek Extended Power Uprate - January 21, 2007
Hope Creek Generating Station (HCGS) employs a GE BWR with a rated core thermal power of 3,339 MWt at
100 percent steam flow. HCGS intends to increase its maximum thermal power by approximately 15 percent to 3,840 MWt.
MLEA Inc. is providing extensive mechanical design support for EPU effort including the revision of almost 100 calculations, revision
to Tech Specs, Operating Procedures, EOPs and the development of the test plan.
